An unconventional convention, Singles in Agriculture, brings together lonely farmers looking for love… or the next best thing. When the Modern Family-obsessed, goat farmer Priscilla is slipped the key card to repressed dairy man Joel’s hotel room, an amorous encounter is expected. But like everything else on the farm, it’s hard to get the job done without stepping in something messy.
Abby Rosebrock is a New York-based playwright and actress from South Carolina. Before turning to theatre, she taught writing at Columbia University and completed a doctorate in medieval English. Her plays include SINGLES IN AGRICULTURE (O’Neill finalist, 2015), DIDO OF IDAHO, DIFFERENT ANIMALS (Cherry Lane, 2013), and RAIN MEN OF MOTOWN. She has received multiple EST/Sloan Foundation commissions and been featured in Dixon Place’s Female Playwrights Project as well as various best-of anthologies by Smith & Kraus and Applause. Abby has been a member of Playground at The Lark Play Development Center and The Tank NYC’s TV- and new media-writers’ collective. She is currently a proud member of the Obie-winning playwrights’ collective Ensemble Studio Theatre/Youngblood and is thrilled to be working in her native region with the artists of Aurora
