Known for her musical creativity and electrifying stage presence, pianist Jade Simmons is committed to expanding the boundaries of classical music. She concludes her ARTech residency with this concert featuring a program of mostly contemporary work. The concert will feature new work created during the residency that features sound collected by Georgia Tech students through the Urban Remix mobile app. Jade will also perform a Gil Weinberg piece that features Shimon, Georgia Tech’s improvising robotic musician. Joining her on stage are saxophonist and electronic musician Jonathan Sanford and percussionist Craig Hauschildt.
