Can you say, “Hot…hot…hot!?!” Fresh of of his Mediterranean tour with Norwegian Cruise Lines is Ryan Whitehead. This young saxophonist has traveled the world with music, to places as far away as Bankok, and has shared the stage with greats such as Joe Gransden and Mindi Adair. Ryan will be performing a range of interpretations, including songs from his curent self-titled CD. International recording artist Russell Gun Says, “One of the premier saxophonists on the contemporary jazz scene today. I look forward to big things from Ryan.”
The new CD, self-titled, is New Jazz. Among the players are some of Atlanta’s finest including David Ellington, Marlon Patton and Phil Davis. “I didn’t choose the music as much as it chose me. Atlanta is a groove oriented town with a steep history in R&B and Hip-Hop. My music mixes with this like a strong cocktail.” Get the new CD at the release party.
Ryan has been given chances to perform with numerous musical talents such as Joe Gransden, Mindi Abair, Jeff Lorber, Nick Longo, Joey Sommerville, Phil Perry, Eric Marienthal, Mike Phillips, Frank McComb, Bob Baldwin, Jabo Starks, Wayne Newton.
