For over 100 years, the Warsaw Philharmonic has been one of Poland’s most distinguished musical institutions. Maestro and Artistic Director Antoni Wit will lead the Warsaw Philharmonic on a tour in 2012-2013, joined by Yulianna Avdeeva, the 2010 First Prize winner of the 16th International Frédéric Chopin Competition in Warsaw. The first woman to win this competition in 45 years, Ms. Avdeeva was also awarded the Krystian Zimerman Prize for the best performance of a sonata.
Today, the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra enjoys worldwide popularity and recognition. The Orchestra has made over 120 tours on five continents. It has performed in all of the major concert halls, winning applause from audiences and critics for their charismatic music making.
