Milwaukee’s, WILLY PORTER, returns to the Attic tonight! This acclaimed and respected guitarist and songwriter delivers solid, crisp pop with a moody baritone that fans of Leo Kottke, Richard Thompson, Lindsay Buckingham, Ed Roland, David Berkeley, and John Mayer will enjoy. He’s toured with a number of legends, including Paul Simon, Sting, Jeff Beck, Tori Amos, and Jethro Tull. Willy is currently touring in support of his 7th album entitled, “How To Rob A Bank,” featuring a studded cast of guest musicians like LA’s quartet, Raining Jane, Reggie Hamilton, and Natalia Zukerman. This album has been earning great praise from music critics like Jeff Giles of Popdose.com, who once stated, “It’s another solid entry in a discography full of them, and one of the smarter, more durable albums of grown-up music we’re likely to get this year.” He continues to tour with his talented band, consisting of: Dave Adler, on keys; Steve Kleiber, on bass; and Dave Schoepke, on drums and percussion.
DYLAN SNEED is an Americana folk singer-songwriter who beautifully paints Southern stories with deep and poetic lyrics. Touring in support of his latest album, “Texodus,” Sneed has been recognized by many for his originality. The album was recorded in a 100 year old farmhouse in rural South Carolina with the help of his five friends playing their part in the music, and his fans playing their part by pledging enough money and support through donations to pay for the entirety of the recording. The Dallas Observer described his music as, “the best side of true Americana…music of passion and skill that can move an audience with a whisper or a roar.” Sneed’s songs have also caught the attention of Kevin Oliver from South Carolina’s Free-Times. Oliver once stated, “Sneed’s songs give a contemporary spin to the Lone Star country and folk of Guy Clark, Steve Earle and others.” Fans of Bob Dylan, Josh Ritter, and Townes Van Zandt will enjoy his music.
