The music of Knoxville’s, ROBINELLA, is difficult to classify, but every song is incredible and has the capacity to touch its listener. Initially, she played with only her husband as backing, but as her audience grew, so did her band. Robinella & the CC Stringband released two independent albums before getting picked up by Columbia in 2002. Her music roots are in contemporary bluegrass and Tennessee mountain music, but recently, she’s been blending in a lot of jazzy swing, spirituals, and even 70′s funk, all delivered with soulful vocals. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution says “Robinella emotes like a melancholy angel, with one wing in a jazz club and the other in a honky-tonk.” Robinella has performed all over the country opening for such legendary names as Bob Dylan, Willie Nelson, and Earl Scruggs. She and her band are touring in support of her latest CD entitled, Sunday Kind of Love: Live From Barley’s. Fans of Billie Holiday, Norah Jones, and Alison Krauss will enjoy her music.

THE HONEYCUTTERS are the artistic collaboration of singer-songwriter, Amanda Anne Platt, and guitarist/producer, Peter James. The release of their first studio album, Irene, has earned them a spot on Americana radio from coast to coast. Their original music appeals to both the musician and the music lover, the country and the city, the old and the young.
