In Honor of Jazz Appreciation Month VG Jazz presents… The Straight-Ahead Jazz Series 2011 featuring an amazing line up of Atlanta’s best jazz artist every Friday night for 6 weeks! Authentic Music- Relaxing Ambience – Good Food.

Terry Harper has been performing as both a pianist and vocalist for over 25 years. Her credits include recording on the debut solo album of Philip Harper, Soulful Sin, and the Christmas album of trumpeter Joe Gransden, I’ll Be Home for Christmas. Terry appeared in the 1994 feature film A Simple Twist of Fate, starring Steve Martin, and the 1995 PBS documentary Strange Fruit. She has performed with trumpeter Hannibal, Jazz drummer Winard Harper and composer, trumpeter, and educator Danny Harper, who hosts the Tuesday night jam sessions at Churchill Grounds and will also be featured in this concert.
